Understanding the roots of your patterns CAN CHANGE THE WAY YOU MOVE THROUGH LIFE
-
Understand how early relationships and attachment experiences may be influencing the way you connect, communicate, set boundaries, and experience intimacy
-
If you constantly question your relationship, fear making the wrong choice, worry about abandonment, or feel the urge to escape when things become more serious, therapy can help you understand what's underneath the anxiety
-
Past experiences can continue to shape the way we respond emotionally, physically, and relationally. EMDR and other trauma-focused approaches can help you process experiences that still feel unresolved
-
Pregnancy, postpartum, and becoming a parent can bring profound emotional and relational changes. Therapy can provide support as you navigate anxiety, identity shifts, relationships, and the transition into motherhood
-
Marriage, motherhood, changes in relationships, career shifts, and other major transitions can bring both excitement and uncertainty. Therapy can help you understand what these changes bring up and move through them with greater clarity
You may look like you're doing well from the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, uncertain, or stuck in patterns you don't fully understand.
Maybe you find yourself overthinking your relationships, struggling to trust yourself, feeling anxious about the future, or wondering why experiences from your past continue to affect the way you connect with yourself and others.
Therapy can be a place to slow down, become curious about these patterns, and understand where they came from—not so that you can stay stuck in the past, but so that you can have more choice in how you move forward.
I'm Sarah Ryan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified EMDR Therapist licensed in Washington and California. I specialize in attachment trauma and relational difficulties, and I particularly enjoy working with adults navigating anxiety, self-worth, relationship concerns, & family-of-origin experiences, and life transitions.
I also have advanced training in Perinatal Mental Health and support women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and the emotional transition into motherhood.
My approach integrates a variety of modalities including EMDR, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, parts work, somatic experiencing, & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Together, we'll develop an approach that fits your goals, your experiences, and the person you are becoming.
You don't have to figure it all out alone.
Therapy can help you understand the patterns underneath your anxiety, relationships, and emotional experiences so that you can move toward greater self-trust, connection, and security.
